Rakkar

I clicked with the Rakkar and I use them in most snow conditions in the French Alps. Responsive, smooth and yet very stable. Very well balanced in the air. In the short size (I have the Rakkar-175cm for 1m74/65kg) they are playful. In the longer size, I suspect they are more tailored for a freeride application.

Top build quality and great factory tune. Topsheet + graphics is just awesome (wow effect guaranteed). I will happily buy another ski from SGN.

I can't wait for soleitind shape with the rakkar build in ~184cm aka tunnelvisjon but for the mortals :).

Perfekt ski for min bruk med 90% heisbasert og 10% fellebruk. Sammen med de lette fellene fra SGN (klare i sekken) og Switchbindinger gir dette den perfekte kombinasjon med stabile ski i nedkjøringer og kjapp overgang til felletur ved behov.

Stabile, lekne, og gode å kjøre på. Trengte en litt tyngre ski som passer til mer enn bare pudder, og det har jeg virkelig fått med disse :)

It took a few days to figure out how to ski the Rakkar. It is unlike anything I’ve skied before. Jeg elsker mine Rakkars! Turning is effortless if you move your center of mass down the fallline. Very round turns. It turns with minimal input and angulation from ankles and knees. I’m used to old school skis and ski mostly in the backcountry. So the Rakkar is a totally new sensation. The only limitation seems to be high-speed long radius turns, it prefers shorter turns. But it shines in short turns and steep technical terrain.
